Children can pick up lunches while schools are closed.
Frederick, Md (KM) The Frederick County School System says two more locations will be added where children can pick up meals to go while schools are closed.
Starting Monday, March 23rd, they can to the Concord Mobile Home Park Community at 4828 Pioneer Circle in Jefferson, and the New Market Shopping Center parking lot near the PNC Bank at 11717 Old National Pike. The hours are from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM on weekdays.
The other locations are:
Brunswick – Rite Aid Parking Lot, Brunswick Heights Shopping Center, 92 Souder Road, Brunswick
Buckeystown United Methodist Church – Parking Lot, 3440 Buckeystown Pike, Frederick
Jubilee Foods – Parking Lot at 515 E. Main Street, Emmitsburg
Heather Ridge – School Parking Lot, 1445 Taney Avenue, Frederick
Lucas Village Community Center – 111 Pennsylvania Avenue, Frederick
Max Kehne Ball Field – Parking Lot, 1100 West 7th Street, Frederick
Thurmont Elementary – School Parking Lot, 805 E. Main Street, Thurmont
Walkersville – Discovery Shopping Center Parking Lot (Goodwill Store), 8425 Woodsboro Pike, Walkersville
The places where children can receive breakfast to go between 8:30 AM and 9:30 AM, and lunch to go from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM with boxed suppers available for pickup are:
Ballenger Creek Elementary
Crestwood Middle
Frederick High
Hillcrest Elementary
Lincoln Elementary
Monocacy Elementary
North Frederick Elementary
Waverley Elementary
Meals to go are available for children up to 18-years of age, and they do not have to attend Frederick County Public Schools They’re also open to adults enrolled in an educational program for persons with disabilities.
