Last weekend state police conducted 541 traffic stops
Frederick, Md. (DG) – Maryland State Police are cracking down drivers exceeding the speed limit.
Troopers are saturating the roads stretching from the Eastern Shore to Western Maryland looking for speeding motorists and to reduce crashes.
Last weekend state police conducted 541 traffic stops, issued 401 citations, 309 warnings, 25 safety repair orders and made seven arrests.
On May 15th, troopers patrolling Baltimore Boulevard in Carroll County conducted 70 traffic stops and issued 28 citations, 51 warnings and 4 safety equipment repair orders.
On May 17th, police patrolling I-70 between the Frederick County and Washington County lines and I-81 conducted 29 traffic stops, issued 26 citations and 18 warnings and made one CDS arrest.
Authorities are reminding drivers to never drive impaired and always buckle up.
