Frederick Man Faces Charges In Pa. Following Vehicle Chase

The vehicle he was driving was reported stolen.

 

 

Washington Township, Pa. (KM) A Frederick man is charged in Pennsylvania following a high-speed vehicle chase on Monday. Washington Township Police say Kristopher Asa Staley, 21, was arrested after officers pulled him over on Lyons Road. He is charged with three counts of receiving stolen property.

Authorities say Frederick County Sheriff’s Deputies tried to pull over a Dodge Ram 3500 truck in New Market for a traffic stop, but the driver refused.

The vehicle continued through  Frederick County and then into Washington County. State Police were asked to provide assistance, but they never caught up with the driver. The State Police helicopter took to the skies and was above the truck as authorities were pursuing it.

The chase came to an end at around 1:00 PM when the truck entered Pennsylvania.

Washington Township Police confirmed the operator was driving a stolen vehicle. Officers also recovered two stolen weapons.

Staley was ordered held in on a $150,000 cash bond after an appearance before a judge on Monday.
