The driver went off the roadway and struck a tree head-on
Frederick, Md. (DG) – A Middletown man was seriously injured in an accident Sunday morning in Frederick County.
Emergency crews responded to the 7400 block of Dance Hall Road at around 8:30 a.m. for a single vehicle accident.
During their investigation police found David Rice was driving a 2011 Hyundai Accent southbound on Dance Hall Road when he crossed the center-line and left the roadway, hitting a tree head-on.
Rice sustained serious injuries and was transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.
The investigation into the crash is continuing.
