Construction work began nearly two years ago.
Frederick, Md (KM) Some good news for motorists! The City of Frederick says Christophers Crossing is opening on Friday afternoon, June 26th.
Officials say construction work began in the fall of 2018 to connect Christophers Crossing fromĀ the existing endpoint in Clover Ridge to the intersection of Walter Martz Road and Poole Jones Road. This new road increases citizen access between residential neighborhoods to Route 15, and downtown Frederick. It also supports future development of the Sanner Farm which is owned by the City of Frederick, officials say.
With the opening of this road, motorists are reminded that parking will not be permitted along Christophers Crossing.
The City says an update on the expected signal at Opposumtown Pike and Christophers Crossing, which is being installed by a developer, will be provided at a later date.
A small virtual ribbon cutting ceremony will be streamedĀ live on Facebook and YouTube on Friday at 10:00 AM.
