One Killed, Three Injured In Vehicle Crash In Frederick County

The three injure were flown to Shock Trauma.

 

 

Frederick, Md (KM) The investigation continues into a one-vehicle crash early Saturday morning which left the driver dead.

The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office says a Kia Stinger traveling northbound on Route 85 south of Shockley Way ran off the roadway, struck a utility pole and overturned. Four people were inside the vehicle at the time of the accident, including the driver. The operator was pronounced dead at  the scene. The other three occupants were medivaced to Shock Trauma in Baltimore.

Authorities say speed is believed to a factor in this crash.

Deputies says the identities of the driver and the three occupants are expected to be released at a later date.

Personnel from the Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstructionist Team and the State Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene.
