WV Man Killed In Vehicle Crash On Baltimore Beltway

State Police say it was a three-vehicle wreck.                                                                       

 

Pikesville, Md (KM) A West Virginia man was killed in a three-vehicle crash in Baltimore County Thursday afternoon.

State Police say at around 4:00 PM,   troopers from the Golden Ring Barrack responded to the outer loop of Interstate 695 at I-795 in Pikesville for a report of a motorist driving erratically. According to their investigation, an Infiniti Q70 went on to the right shoulder of the road, and struck Rodney Shears, 49, of Jefferson County,  WV who was standing behind a Chevrolet Cobalt. Shears was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Infiniti then traveled along I-695 and struck a Lexus RX 330 before coming to a stop. .

The driver of the Infiniti identified as Ronae Lavida Anderson, 39, of Baltimore was transported to Shock Trauma. The driver of the Lexus was not hurt.

The roadway was closed for about two-and-a-half hours while troopers conducted their investigation.

State Police say no charges have been filed at this time, and their investigation is continuing.
