Frederick County COVID-19 Cases Increasing, But It’s A Small Increase

Positivity rate remains low.                                                                                                              

 

 

Frederick, Md (KM) A small increase has been reported in the number of COVID-19 cases in Frederick County.

As of Thursday afternoon, the Health Department says there are 3.413 confirmed coronavirus cases in the county, an increase of nine from Wednesday. The number of deaths remains at 116.

The seven-day positivity rate is 2.4%. . That’s the percentage of patients testing positive for COVID-19 out of all of those who’ve been tested over that seven-day period.

On the state level, the Maryland Department of Health reports 106,063 confirmed cases of the coronavirus as of Thursday; an increase of 577. The number of deaths is 3,580, which is up by two from the day before. The state’s positivity rate  is 3.3%.

Also, the Health Department is reported that there are  1,8418,425 people who’ve tested for COVID0-19, and 1,169,019 individuals who’ve tested negative.
