COVID-19 Cases Continue To Increase In Frederick County

Positivity rate remains low.

 

Frederick, Md (KM) An increase has been reported in the number of COVID-19 cases in Frederick County. As of Tuesday afternoon, the Health Department says there are 3,505 confirmed local cases of the coronavirus;  that’s an increase of 13 from Monday.0

The agency says many of the cases are reported in the Frederick city area, and an area north of Mount Airy which straddles the Frederick and Carroll County line

The number of confirmed deaths from COVID-19 stands at 118.

The seven-day positivity rate is 2.5%, .That’s the percentage of patients who tested positive for the coronavirus out of all of those tested over that seven-day period.
