Frederick County COVID-19 Cases Continue To Increase

Local  positivity rate just under 3%.                                                                                              

 

 

Frederick, Md. (KM) The number of COVID-19 cases in Frederick County continues to increase . The Health Department says as of Tuesday afternoon, the number of coronavirus cases stands  at 3,785, which is 29 more than on Monday There are 121 deaths from COVID-19 in Frederick County, no change from Monday.

The seven-day positivity rate is 2.8% . That’s the percentage of patients testing positive for COVID-19 out of all of those individuals tested over a seven-day period.

Across the state, the Maryland Department of Health reports as of Tuesday  117,245 COVID-19 cases, which is 599 more than on Monday. The number of deaths as of Tuesday from the coronavirus is 3,706, which is up by ten from the day before.

The Department also reports the positivity rate in Maryland is 3.7%.

The number of those who tested negative is 1,355,537 as of Tuesday, an increase of 7,320 from the day before. The Maryland Health Department also reports 371 hospitalizations which is up by 24 from Monday.
