Cases Of COVID-19 Continue To Increase In Frederick County

Number of deaths  remain at over 200.

 

 

 

 

 

Frederick, Md (KM) COVID-19 cases continue going up in Frederick County. As of Tuesday, the Health Department reports there have been 14, 447 cases of the coronavirus since the pandemic began. That’s 122 more than on Monday. The number of deaths is 216; no increase from the day before.

The seven-day positivity rate is 8.7%.. That’s the percentage of patients testing positive for COVID-19 out of all of those tested over a seven-day period.

In other jurisdictions around the region, the Maryland Department of Health reports Washington County has 10,625 coronavirus cases, and 184 deaths. In Carroll County, there are 6,397 cases of COVID-19, and 179 deaths. Howard County reports 13,592 cases of the coronavirus, and 189 deaths. Montgomery County continues to have the highest number of cases in the region, with 54,835,  and 1,196 deaths.

Statewide, the Maryland Health Department reports as if Tuesday  there are 330,189 COVID-19 cases which is 1,972 more than on Monday. The number of deaths is 6,476, and that’s an increase of 53 from the day before,

There are 1,875 patients  who are hospitalized for COVID-19, and the positivity rate for the state of Maryland is 7.8%, according to the Department of Health.
