Two were not in compliance with laws against selling alcohol to minors.
Frederick, Md (KM) Compliance checks on 23 businesses which sell or serve alcohol were conducted on June 24th. The purpose is to make all of these establishments are adhering to the law which prohibits them from selling and/or serving alcohol to minors.
The Frederick County Health Department says underage individuals entered these establishments, and attempted to purchase alcohol. They had state-issued driver’s licenses or identification cards which they were required to present when asked by the merchants. And they had to respond truthfully when asked about their age.
The Department says out of the 23 businesses visited by these underage individuals, two were found not to be in compliance and sold alcohol to minors. . They were referred to the County Liquor Board for administrative review.

The two establishments which were found not to be in compliance have been referred to the County Liquor Board for administrative review.
Funds for these compliance checks come from the Maryland Department of Health.
