Frederick County Sheriff’s Office says this follows a two-month investigation.
Frederick, Md (KM) A prostitution business in Mount Airy was shut down on Tuesday. The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office says deputies with the Narcotics Investigation Section, and the Sheriff’s Office and Frederick Police SWAT teams executed a search and seizure warrant at 13134 Old National Pike at around 12:14 PM..
Once inside, authorities says they encountered three men who were the owners of that business and two women. They also noticed the house had been converted into a business setting with a waiting area and sitting area for the “johns,” and three separate bedrooms for services, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Deputies and officers found $18,000 worth of surveillance cameras inside and outside the building. They also located numerous items associated with a brothel, authorities say.
Arrested in connection with this operation are:
*Luis Fernando Cruz, 23, of Laurel, Md., whose charged with two counts of Prostitution Business, and one count of maintaining an house of prostitution.
*Juan David Ceballos Garcia, 29, of Frederick, whose charged two counts of Prostitution Business, and one count of maintaining a house of prostitution.
*Yessica Alexandra Alvarez Floref, 30, of New York, whose charged with Prostitution General.
*Jessica Perez Nanez, 30, of New York, whose also charged with Prostitution General.
A third man is also facing charges.
The Sheriff’s Office this operation follows a two-month investigation.
“Today the Frederick High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) group displayed its commitment and dedication to identify, infiltrate, and dismantle criminal organizations operating in Frederick County,” says Lt Sedat Caliskan, the Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigation Section Command, in a statement. . “We are committed to combating the illegal possession and distribution of illegal narcotics and vice operations in Frederick County.”
“This investigation was a great success because of the collaborative efforts of each agency involved,” continues Lt. Caliskan.
The Frederick HIDTA group includes the Sheriff’s Office, Frederick Police, Maryland State Police, Brunswick Police Department, and Homeland Security Investigation. All agencies assisted with this investigation and serving the search warrant.
