Frederick County Included In Disaster Assistance From Tropical Storm Ida

Residents and business people do not need to apply in person.

Frederick, Md (KM) If you own a business or a non-profit, or if you’re a homeowner, or a renter in Frederick County who suffered losses due to Tropical Storm Ida, you can apply for low interest loans to make repairs. The US Small Business Administration has declared Montgomery, Cecil and Anne Arundel Counties as disaster areas. but Frederick County is also covered.

You can apply in person at the Twinbrook Library. 203 Meadow Hall Drive in Rockville beginning on Monday, October 25th at 12-noon. The application center will be open Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM, and Tuesday and Thursday, 12:00 noon to 6:00 PM. It will be open on Saturday, October 30th, 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM. It will not be open on Sunday, October 31st.  The center close permanently on Friday, November 5th at four p-m. . .

Frederick County official say you don’t need to apply in person. You can get more information by going on line at https://disasterloan.sba.gov. or calling the SBA’s Customer Service Center at 1-800-659-2955 (TTY/TTD 1-800-877-8339). Applicants can also send an e-mail to [email protected]. .

Anyone applying should do so under SBA declaration #17229.

These loans can be used to repair or replace real estate, personal property, including vehicles, inventory and equipment.

Applications for loans for physical property damage will be accepted from now through December 17th, 2021. Anyone applying for economic injury can send  off their applications between now and July 18th, 2022.
