SHA says it’s installing a new drainage pipe.
Frederick, Md. (KM) – Work on a project to improve drainage on Urbana Pike is scheduled to take place this weekend.
The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration says both lanes of Route 355 between Ball Road and Reels Mill Road will be closed starting at 7:00 AM on Sunday, March 6th. . That will allow crews to replace a damaged drainage pipe which goes under the roadway. That job is expected to be completed by 3:00 PM. .
Traffic will be detoured using Araby Church Road which connect to Route 355 north and south of the project’s limits. Local access will be available for residential and commercial traffic.
MDOT SHA urges drivers to stay alert when traveling through work zones, and be aware of reduced speed limits and driving pattern changes.
