Frederick Man Whose Car Crashed Into Retaining Pond Has Died

The Sheriff’s Office says no foul play is suspected.

Frederick, Md. (KM) – A Frederick man who crashed his car into a retaining pond has died. The Sheriff’s Office says Ki Ho Lam, 76, passed away at 1:00 AM on Wednesday.

At around 8:45 Tuesday evening, fire and rescue crews and Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 5414 Rotary Avenue in New Market for a vehicle in the pond located behind the CVS store. Authorities say Lam crashed his car into the pond,  and it was submerged in the water with the victim drowning.

Life-saving measures were instituted while Lam was being driven to Frederick Health Hospital by ambulance. He died at the Hospital.

Detectives say no foul is suspected.
