Three People, Including Two Juveniles, Killed In Adams County, PA Crash

The driver of the car may have been intoxicated.

Hamilton Township, Pa. (NS) – Three people died and three were seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash on Wednesday in Adams County, Pennsylvania.

Police were called to the 1800 block of Pine Run Road in the Hamilton Township at around 12:15 p.m. for the report of a 2011 Jeep that struck a tree.

Investigators say 37-year-old Christopher Heflin of York, Pennsylvania, was behind the wheel, along with 5 passengers, when the car left the roadway, hit a tree, and came to rest in a cow pasture.

Heflin, a 17-year-old boy and another 3-year-old boy died in the crash. Officials say the two juveniles were Heflin’s fiancee’s children.

Troopers report that the driver is suspected of DUI, and officials are waiting for the results of a toxicology report.

The other three passengers were transported to Wellspan York Hospital with serious injuries, and one of them is considered life-threatening.
