Early Voting Begins in Maryland On Thursday, July 7th

Polls will be open from 7:00  AM to 8:00  PM.

Frederick, Md. (KM) – It’s early voting time in Maryland. Residents in Frederick County and the rest of the state can cast their ballots beginning on Thursday, July 7th. Early voting will continue through Thursday, July 14th.

There will be four polling places in Frederick County for residents to cast their early voting ballots: the Trinity Recreation Center, the Urbana and Thurmont Regional Libraries, and Middletown Primary School. Polls will be open from 7:00 AM until 8:00 PM, .including Saturday and Sunday.

Citizens can also register to the vote at early voting centers, and then cast their ballots.

The Maryland State Board of Elections says residents can still request mail-in ballots, but the requests must be received by local boards of election by  July 12th. Citizens who requested mail-in ballots can deposit them at several drop boxes around the county. The deadline is Tuesday, July 19th at 8:00 PM. . If they’re sent by mail, they must be postmarked by July 19th.

Primary Election day is Tuesday, July 19th, and citizens can cast ballots at one of 63 polling places around the county. The hours will be from 7:00 AM until 8:00 PM. Citizens can also register to vote on that day, and then cast their ballots.

The Frederick County Board of Elections and other boards of elections around Maryland still need voters to serve as election judges. Interested citizens can call 301-600-VOTE (8683), or go on line to FrederickCountyMD.gov/VOTE. for more information.
