Frederick, Md. (DG) – A man was taken into custody Saturday after driving through Frederick on a John Deere track loader and refusing to stop.
The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office is reporting they assisted Frederick Police with shutting down roadways and trying to get the man to stop.
The man refused and said he was driving to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center.
A plan was developed to use the Bearcat armored vehicle when the driver was on Marcies Choice Lane. At that time police told the man to exit the tractor, and he complied.
The man was taken to Frederick Health Hospital for an evaluation. He has been charged with several citations including fleeing and eluding.
