Sykesville, Md (KM) One person was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center Monday night with non-life threatening injuries following a house fire in Sykesville.
The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says at around 8:18 PM, fire fighters were dispatched to 6168 Frontier Road for a two-story, single family home on fire. They spent a half-hour bringing the flames under control.
Damage is estimated at $300,000. .
The Fire Marshal’s Office says the fire originated in the garage, but the cause remains under investigation.
The fire was discovered by a resident.
