Most defendants are charged with weapons and drug offenses.
Frederick, Md (KM) The Frederick County Grand Jury returned eight indictments on Friday.
In one, the panel charged Cristian Enrique Sanchez, 19, of Frederick with possession with intent to distribute a hallucinogen (Psilocybin mushrooms); possession with intent to distribute cannabis; possession of a regulated firearm being under 21; use of a firearm in a drug trafficking crime; drug distribution with a firearm; and having a loaded handgun in a vehicle. . He was arrested on February 4th during a traffic stop along Woodsboro Pike in Walkersville. The Sheriff’s Office says drugs and a fully loaded handgun were found in his vehicle.
In another indictment, Xavier Kimel Mason, 23, of Annapolis, Md., is charged with a long list of drug and weapons offenses. They include possession of a large amount of fentanyl; conspiracy to possess a large amount of fentanyl; conspiracy of possession with intent to distribute a large amount of fentanyl mixture; conspiracy to possess Methamphetamine; possession of fentanyl; possession of cocaine; possession of Methamphetamine; obstructing and hindering; drug distribution with a firearm; having a loaded firearm on his person; having a handgun in a vehicle; illegal possession of ammunition; possession of a firearm with a felony conviction; illegal possession of a regulated firearm; attempting to elude police by fleeing on foot; attempting to elude a police vehicle on foot; driving without a license; operating a vehicle on a highway with unauthorized window tinting material; failure to attach a vehicle registration plate; driving without current tags; displaying improper registration plates; and unauthorized display of a license plate. Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Mason on February 4th following a foot chase in the New Market area.
Other indictments returned by the Grand Jury include:
*Maria Watts, 25,of Frederick, Md., who is charged with possession of cannabis with intent to distribute; use of a firearm in a drug trafficking crime; distribution of drugs with a firearm; having a loaded handgun in a vehicle; possession of contraband in a place of confinement; and possession of cocaine for an incident which occurred on January 25th, 2023.
*Alazajuan Marquis Gray, 29, of Washington DC, who is charged with firearms possession with a conviction of a crime of violence; illegal possession of regulated firearm; possession with intent to distribute cannabis; use of a firearm in a drug trafficking crime; possession of drugs with a firearm; having a loaded firearm in a vehicle; and illegal possession of ammunition for an incident which occurred on January 25th, 2023.
Both Watts and Gray are indicted as co-defendants, the State’s Attorney’s Office says.
Another two defendants indicted are Shainia Viola Metzner, 27, of Road Hyndman, Pa. , and Jonathan Tyler Wilson, 25,of Cumberland, Md. Both are charged with possession of a large amount of fentanyl mixture; conspiracy to possess a large amount of a fentanyl mixture; possession with intent to distribute fentanyl; conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute fentanyl; possession with intent to distribute a fentanyl heroin mix; possession of fentanyl; and possession of heroin for an incident which occurred on November 19th, 2022.
*Kenneth Roy Keim, 62, of Frederick, Md, who is charged with five counts of 1st-degree assault, five counts of 2nd-degree assault and five counts of reckless endangerment for an incident which occurred on January 23rd, 2023.
*Tommy Keith Moberly, 32, of Frederick, Md. who is charged with 1st-degree assault; 2nd-degree assault; three counts of violating a protective order; and two counts of solicitation to influence a witness for an incident which occurred on January 29th, 2023.
The Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office says indictments are charging documents alleging criminal contact. It also says all defendants are innocent until proven guilty.
