House In Sykesville Damaged By Fire

There were no injuries.

Sykesville, Md Fire significantly damaged a two-story, single family  home in Carroll County Thursday night.

At around 8:30 PM firefighters were sent to the 7200 block of Jennifer Way in Sykesville for a fire. The blaze  went to one alarm, and it took 25 firefighters 15 minutes to put the flames out. There were no injuries reported.

Investigators say the fire started in the bedroom closet and caused $60,000 worth of damage.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says the cause remains under investigation.
