MDOT SHA says crews will improve the riding surface on Md. 97.
Westminster, Md (KM) Road work is expected to begin in Carroll County next week.
The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration says the work will start on Monday evening, May 15th, and is expected to be completed in July. Crews will patch, mill and pave Route 97 from Route 26 to the bridge over Morgan Run south of Nicodemus Road. The work will begin at 7:00 PM, and be completed by 5:00 AMĀ the next day Sunday through Thursday.
MDOT SHA says a single lane will be closed during the road work, and there will be flagging operations during work hours.
The contractor, Francis O. Day of Rockville, will use electronic signs, cones and barrels to alert motorists, and safely guide them through the work zone.
