Goodwill Sponsoring Job Fair On Wednesday In Frederick

About 17 employers will be participating.

Frederick, Md (KM) If you’re looking for a job, or want to advance in your career, or are seeking a new profession, Goodwill Industries of Monocacy Valley is  holding an event on Wednesday. “We have a community job fair. So we have right now 17 employers lined up to be at the job fair to find their next and best job,” says Amy Lyons, The Director of Mission Services for Goodwill Industries of the Monocacy Valley.

She says  the  job fair will take place from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Goodwill’s main campus and career center at 1750 Monocacy Boulevard in Frederick. “The purpose of this job fair is really to connect employers to top talent out in the community and help our job seekers,” says Lyons.

Among the employers expected to be at the job fair include Aramark at Hood College, The Clagett Center, Weis Markets and 84 Lumber. “Thrive USA Home Care, which services veterans with in-home health needs, will be there hiring. ETI Precision, which is information technology manufacturing, will be there. Sheppard Pratt within health care, and even Frederick Health {Hospital} will be there,” Lyons says.

Other employers on hand include Country Meadows Retirement Communities,. Manpower and the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office.

For those who can’t make it, Goodwill Industries of the Monocacy Valley provides in person and on line career services throughout the year “to absolutely anyone in the community. There are no requirements to meet. It doesn’t matter if you’re employed, unemployed, what your current salary is. We will help you,” says Lyons.

She says there services are free of charge.

Goodwill’s main campus and career center is open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM, and on Friday by appointment. Residents can also go on line for information at  MyCareerAdvisor.com, or call 301-662-0622.
