Silver Spring Man Arrested In Frederick For Firearms Discharge

He’s currently being held without bond.

Frederick, Md (KM) A Silver Spring man is charged in Frederick for a firearms discharge. Daniel Carroll, 34, was taken into custody on Monday morning.

At around 8:25 AM, police were dispatched to North Market and West Seventh Streets for a shots fired incident. Officers met with the victim who pointed to Carroll as the suspect. The victim told authorities that Carroll accosted them while they were trying to park their car. He then fired a handgun at their vehicle.

Authorities say they did a search of Carroll’s person, and found a revolver, and some narcotics (not cannabis).

Carroll is charged with first-degree assault, having a loaded handgun on his  person, discharging a firearm within city limits, possession of narcotics, illegal possession of a firearm after being convicted of a felony, illegal possession of ammunition and reckless endangerment.

He was transported to the Adult Detention Center for processing. Carroll is currently being held without bond.
