Guardrail Repair To Affect A Section Of I-70 In Frederick County

It’s expected to take place on Tuesday morning near Myersville.

Myersville, Md (KM) The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration says emergency repairs are scheduled for Tuesday to a section of guardrail along Interstate 70 near Myersville.

The work will take place on the I-70 bridge over Monument Road beginning at 10:00 AM and is expected to be wrapped up by 1:00 PM weather permitting. As a result, the right hand lane of eastbound I-70 in that area will be closed. Drivers who use that section of I-70 should plan some extra time to get to their destinations.

The contractor for the project, Long Fence based  in Odenton, Md., will be using cones, barrels and electronic message boards to alert drivers to the work zone, according to MDOT SHA.
