House Fire Near Myersville On Saturday Displaces Two Adults, One Dog

The cause is under investigation.

Myersville, Md (KM) The Red Cross is assisting the occupants of a house which caught fire on Saturday night in the Myersville area.

Frederick County Fire and Rescue Services says fire fighters were dispatched at around 10:23 PM to the 9800 block of Harmon Road, and found a working fire.  They  asked for a tanker task force and Rapid Intervention Dispatch.

Crews found fire on both floors of the home with heavy smoke in the basement. Inferior crews found the bulk of the fire on the first floor. They had the flames under control by 11:13 PM, and the fire was reported completely out at 11:38 PM.

The two occupants and a dog were able to escape the home.

The Frederick County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.

Harmony Road near Fishers Hollow Road was closed to traffic  while fire crews battled the flames.
