Two Men Sentenced In Frederick County, Virginia For Concealing The Death Of A Woman

Winchester, Va. (BW)- Two men pleaded guilty in Frederick County Circuit Court in Virginia after concealing the body of a woman who died from an overdose.

30-year-old Shannon Fox from Winchester was found dead over an embankment near Feltner Road in Clarke County, Virginia in August 2022. She was reported missing five months earlier.

In February 2022, 42-year-old Ryan Taylor of Winchester and 36-year-old Daniel Stober of Tok, Alaska stuffed Fox’s body into a refrigerator in the back of a U-Haul van and dumped the body on the side of a road.

Taylor was sentenced on Feb 6 to five years in prison with four years and eight months suspended.

Stober was sentenced to 25 years with 21 years suspended. He was also charged with possession and distribution of a Schedule I/II controlled substance.

Both men will serve five years of supervised probation following their release.

31-year-old David Gerhard of Hedgesville, West Virginia was also indicted for drug distribution connected to Fox’s death.
