Baltimore, Md (KM) The federal judge overseeing the cases against Frederick County Sheriff Chuck Jenkins and local business owner Robert Krop has ruled that prosecutors can file revised indictments against the two defendants. That’s according to the News Post which reports the revised indictments will eliminate one count, and part of another count.

Jenkins and Krop were indicted in April, 2023, by a federal grand jury on conspiracy and making false statements to illegally acquire machine guns.  Krop is also charged with illegal possession of machine guns.   Both have pleaded not guilty.

Krop’s trial is scheduled to begin on October 15th, 2024, and last for eight days. Jenkins’ trial is scheduled for January 27th, 2025, and last seven days.
