Suspect Wanted In Baltimore County Apprehended In Frederick

He’s being held at the Detention Center  without bond.

Frederick, Md (KM) A fugitive from Baltimore County was arrested Monday evening in Frederick County following a traffic stop.

The Sheriff’s Office says just after 7:00 PM, deputies pulled over a vehicle along New Design Road and Guilford Drive where they located Ja Qwan Taylor-El ,22, of Middle River. A check determined he was wanted in Baltimore County for attempted 1st -degree murder and a firearms offense. He was also wanted by Frederick Police for drug offenses. Taylor-El was taken into custody without incident.  .

Deputies searched the vehicle where he was a passenger,  and found a loaded handgun, a Smith and Wesson 44-Magnum Revolver, reported stolen from Bowie in 2019. . They also found four grams of cocaine and a scale.

Taylor-El was taken to the Adult Detention Center where he’s being held without bond. He is charged with:

1. CDS Possession with Intent to Distribute

2. CDS Possession: Cocaine

3. CDS Distribution with a Firearm

4. Use of a Firearm in a Drug Trafficking Crime

5. Use of a Firearm in a Felony/Violent Crime

6. Loaded Handgun in a Vehicle

7. Handgun in a Vehicle

The Sheriff’s Office says the driver of the vehicle was an Uber employee who was transporting Taylor-El from Frederick to Baltimore.
