Fiber Outage Affecting Non-Emergency Phone Lines On County System

Emergency Calls to 9-1-1 Center NOT Impacted

FREDERICK, Md. (JK) – A regional fiber outage has left Frederick County Government’s non-emergency phones without service.

Calls to the emergency 9-1-1 center are not affected by the outage.

The outage affects desk phones. If you need to reach someone at a County office, please call a cell phone number when possible, or send an email.

It remains unknown how long it will take to fix the fiber.
