One victim flown to Shock Trauma
Frederick, Md. (DG) – Two men were shot late Friday night in Frederick during three separate shooting incidents.
Frederick Police responded at 10:05 p.m. Friday to a report of a firearm being discharged in the area of Wilson Place at Taney Avenue, and found a male victim who had been shot. He was flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore for treatment.
A short time later at around 10:50 p.m.police responded to a reported shooting in the 1400 block of Hampshire Drive. Officers were not able to locate a victim, but found shell casings and evidence that a weapon had been fired.
At 12:15 a.m., officers responded to the 1300 block of Baker Place East, and found evidence of a third shooting. While gathering evidence, police learned a male victim arrived at a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries from a gun shot wound he sustained in Frederick.
Detectives are actively investigating these incidents and any potential connections between them. Police are asking residents in the area to check their home security cameras for any potential evidence related to the shootings. Anyone with information is asked to call 301-600-2141.
