FREDERICK, MD. (LG) Frederick County Public School students will be heading back to school on Wednesday, August 21, 2024.
“We are doing so many things to get our staff ready, ” said Superintendent Dr. Cheryl Dyson. “We welcomed back the Operations staff last week . We want to encourage staff to get ready for a great year. One of our theme’s is ‘You Matter’, so everyone can have a sense of belonging, Dyson added.
Several new initiatives are in place for the school year. “We have a 13% full day growth rate for Pre-K, and the opening of a new parent resource center at Lincoln A. This is to help parents with special education questions, and we are excited about that”.
Frederick County’s public schools will open their doors to nearly 48,000 students.
