Emmitsburg, Md (KM) The cause of a fire at Saint Anthony’s Shrine rectory in Emmitsburg remains under investigation.
At around 12:36 AM on Friday, fire fighters were dispatched to the rectory in the 16100 block of Saint Anthony’s Road for a two-story building on fire. Frederick County Fire and Rescue Services says there were flames showing from the first floor and porch.
A tanker task force, and a Rapid Intervention Dispatch were requested to bring more fire fighters to the scene.
It took personnel one hour to bring the flames under control, followed by extensive overhaul.
Fire officials say one person was flown out by helicopter to a burn center with serious injuries.
