It will mean the closure of the Court St. Parking Deck.
Frederick, Md (KM) There will be a planned power outage in Frederick on Thursday, September 19th. The City says the outage will take place from approximately 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM, and will affect the Court Street Parking Deck, the Patrick Center and Creekside Plaza.
Potomac Edison says its crews will be doing upgrades on its underground electrical system near the Court Street Parking Deck.
During the outage, that parking deck will be closed, but vehicles already parked there at the time can remain. There will be one exit open for vehicles to leave, but no entrances will be open to motor vehicles to come in. .
The City Parking Department says Court Street Parking Deck cardholders can use their cards at the West Patrick Street and Carroll Creek garages.
Frederick City’s Public Works Department says it will monitor any traffic signal disruptions caused by the outage. Motorists who encounter a non-working traffic signal should treat the area as a four-way intersection. That means coming to a full stop and yielding to other traffic if necessary.
