Police say the two bovines were scheduled to be sent to the butcher.
Westminster, Md (KM) Two cows got loose Monday afternoon in Westminster.
Police say officers were dispatched to Englar Road and Baltimore Boulevard just after 12:45 PM where the two bovines were spotted. The two cows had escaped from a local farm and had crossed Englar Road into a downtown Westminster suburb.
Authorities say police and Animal Control Officers tried to safely contain the animals, but were not successful
In discussions with the farmer who owned the cows, the decision was made to euthanatize the two bovines. They had become aggressive and charged at people. One child was injured.
Police say the two cows were scheduled to be sent to the butcher when they escaped.
