Frederick County Health Department Looking For Dog Who Bit A Child On Wormans Mill Rd.

Animal Control needs to determine the animal’s health.

Frederick, Md (KM) A dog who bit a child along Wormans Mill Road at Market Square near Ibis Alley on is being sought by the Frederick County Health Department.

Officials say the dog, which is described as a medium size animal with white and fluffy fur, bit the child on Sunday evening as she was riding her bicycle past two dogs. The second canine who was with the biting dog is described as a black and fluffy medium size dog. A woman walking the two dogs is a young adult with brown hair.

The Health Department says it needs to contact the owner to determine the health of the canine ten days after the child was bitten. If Frederick County Animal Control determines dog’s health is good, the child will not need to undergo expensive rabies treatment. If not, the child will be advised to seek treatment for rabies.
