The Circumstances of Worship
The Faith Debate is exploring the Regulative & Normative Principles. Is lawful worship only that which God has Himself established, as it says in Chapter 21 of the Westminster Confession? Humans are finite and sinful, so don’t we need Scripture (and ordained godly leaders) to guide worship as the Lord sovereignly superintends – so as to eliminate idolatry while still protecting liberty of conscience against abuse from certain liturgical orders?
