Frederick, Md. (DG) A stone wall near Devil’s Den at Gettysburg National Military Park was toppled on October 14, 2025, in what officials describe as an act of vandalism.

The wall, located along a parking area, was found destroyed by park staff. The Gettysburg Foundation confirmed the damage and is working with the National Park Service to investigate the incident. This marks the third reported case of vandalism at the park in recent months, following earlier incidents involving graffiti and an attempted theft of a dinosaur fossil.

Authorities are urging the public to come forward with any information that could assist in identifying those responsible.
