Montgomery County Police continue investigation into two-vehicle collision at Lockwood Drive and Northwest Drive.
Gaithersburg, MD (JK) – A 15-year-old girl from Pasadena, Maryland, was killed Wednesday in a two-vehicle crash in Silver Spring. The collision happened around 11:19 a.m. at Lockwood Drive and Northwest Drive.
Authorities say a southbound Lexus overtook a Ride On bus, entered the intersection, and struck a Toyota before losing control and hitting a utility pole. Tayeba Rezaie, a passenger in the Lexus, was pronounced dead at the scene. Another passenger was hospitalized in critical condition, while the driver and a third passenger sustained minor injuries. The Toyota driver was not injured.
The Montgomery County Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating the crash. Anyone with information is asked to call 240-773-6620.
